Q: Where are the cameras located?


The original Star City Webcam is located at the top of the Windstream microwave tower (approx. 225 feet) at 1440 M Street, and was installed on March 1st, 1996.

The 13th & N cameras are located at the top of the Federal Trust Building.

The primary camera is a webcam mounted in a Pelco security camera enclosure. The various webcams use three different models of video capture hardware, including a DLINK webcam, a video server from Stardot Technologies and an AXIS Camera Server. JPEG images are uploaded to our web server every five minutes.

Star City Webcam:

The 16th & M Cam is located at the 120 foot level of the Windstream tower. This camera has a 10x zoom lens.
